As the Facebook Insider reports, Facebook recently added a ‘Widowed’ option to its list of relationship status types in response to a growing petition.

Facebook's Updated Relationship Statuses, Including the Newly-added 'Widowed' Option

Nothing real exciting, but still a major change for Facebook.

Widowed allows the world to know that person’s spouse is dead, and also that person is available, as no other of the seven categories is chosen.
