Jupiter Jack allows you to make phone calls without having to use your cell phone while driving. This is becoming a necessity is many places as states continue to ban cellular phones in cars. Jupiter Jack should not be confused with MagicJack which is a device that allows you to make phone calls for free over the Internet. The Jupiter Jack has been pushed heavily on “as seen on tv” ads as being the ultimate hands free device. The JupiterJack is super small unit that allows you to wirelessly transmit your voice call through the speaker of the phone. It’s a great idea in concept but does it actually work?
The device does have support for a large amount of the cell phones on the market today. JJ even supports the iphone and other higher end smart phones. The JupiterJack comes with three attachments so that you can fit your phone to the device. For Iphone support it is recommended that you use the number two attachment. Once you have found the right attachment for you phone then all you need to do is dial in your radio to 99.3 and start making and receiving phone calls. I should add that this was a big complaint from users that the JJ only had one option for a radio station so Jupiter Jack people added the ability to choose a second station. I would compare the quality of the sound quality too that of the sound you get when you use your ipod through your radio. It can be hard to find a station with out interference especially in a large city.
One of the big issues with the Jupiter Jack has been with ordering confusion on their website. People do not read the fine print that states that they will be charged for each item that is shipped. That means that if you order the 2 for 1 and the stand you will be charged 3 shipping charges. Is this a Jupiter jack Scam? Well, it depends on how you look at it I guess. The as seen on tv products have always been known to make their money on shipping and handling and tend to break even on the product it’s self. I should also add that there is not an option to review your order. Once you put in the products you want and enter your credit card information your order is finalized.
Is The Jupiter Jack Worth Buying?
It’s obvious that Jupiter Jack wins in the price category. Right now they are 2 for $10 dollars which seems like a no brainer but remember to calculate the shipping charges into the total cost. The device does work, but don’t expect for it to be perfect or work as well as a $100 Bluetooth device. The Jupiter Jack is a inexpensive hands free option that can keep you safe but be aware of shipping charges.

My opinion: it’s AWESOME. I’ve been using it with no problems.
Well worth the price.
It’s available at CVS for 5 bucks, so shipping cost shouldn’t be a problem. It does play MP3 players with the appropriate adapter, which comes included. Works great for me.
Can it be used with an ipod? Or other mp3 player to just play music…? How’s it sound…
After trying countless Bluetooth’s because I either lost them or they sound like kids speaker phone quality I tried Jupiter Jack. It went right into my cell head phone jack, I switched it on, put my phone in the cradle, switched my radio dial to 99.3FM and could not believe the difference in quality! WOW! Just program your radio to 99.3 so when your phone rings or you want to make a call just press the program number if your listening to another station and your good to go. It was clear and I didn’t have to cup my ear like I did with my Bluetooth. If you don’t forget to turn off your Bluetooth and disconnect it from you ear when walking around you look insane in public. Plus it’s rude and you know who you are. I got my Jupiter Jack at Block Buster for $10.
