Huawei Ascend Mate phablet vs Samsung Galaxy Note II
The Samsung Note 2 has dominated the Phablet market until now. We have seen several Phablets (phone tablet) revealed since 2010 when the Dell Streak was first revealed. Now the Huawei 6.1-inch 1080p Ascend Mate has been revealed, and will likely go up for sale in early to mid January around a price of ¥3,000 or about $480 US dollars.
The news is a little ahead of schedule as the giddy Richard Yu, chief of Devices shows off the new phablet in a Huawei store in China. What we know thus far is that the device will likely have a 1.8GHz HiSilicon K3V3 quadcore processor as rumored, and go head to head with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which has a 5.5 inch screen size.
Check out the image and video below where Yu is showing off the device to excited onlookers. I guess it was just too much for him to wait until CES 2013 where the device was supposed to make its debut.
