iPad Mini Price: Worth It With Cellular Service?

If you look at the current trend, there are 5 inch phones coming out left and right. The iPad Mini is the closest thing that consumers have to a phablet. The real question is why would you buy a Mini when you can get a full service phone and tablet out of a Galaxy Note 2 or Huawei Ascend Mate 2?

Apple knows they need to act fast and make their mini tablet ready for cellular service. With that in mind Apple has a fresh shipment going to China and Apple CEO Tim Cook has said there will be cellular service available for the device at the end of January 2013. The 3G service available in China will be a perfect mesh with iPad Mini users.

What would you think if Apple made cellular service on the iPad Mini available in North America? Would it be tempting to buy the device to use for cellular service? It is possible that this could happen, but unlikely. China is where Apple is keeping their focus right now as the Mini is still on fire in terms of sales. Apple has plans to continue opening stores throughout the country in hopes to gain some leverage for product sales there.

“Phablet” is the stupidest goddamn word I’ve ever heard. I’m going to make up portmanteaus too – I’ll call this link a “sharticle”.
