About Us
The Coffee Desk was started by a couple of friends that love technology, and wanted to be able to read the top headlines in about 5 minutes each day between breaks at school and work. Slashdot was perfect, but they wanted to also be able to openly contribute stories in addition to reading them, so The Coffee Desk was started, using a (now famous) wordpress theme of the same name to present the top technology headlines in a way one could gauge quickly or slowly at school and work, without losing productivity (too much) but further updating their brain with what is currently happening in the tech scene.
The Coffee Desk aims to do just that, providing stories on nearly every technological subject, from IT and Operating systems to hardware and consumer electronics, The Coffee Desk tells you what you need to know quick, so you don’t waste any time from work doing the actual, well, reading. All of this brought to you in a visual manner resembling your actual work desk so you are reminded of where you actually are while reading, in case the boss or teacher is approaching.
